Common Causes in Senior Dogs
- Dietary upset (new food, treats, garbage)
- Food intolerance or allergies
- Infections (bacterial, viral, parasites)
- Medications (especially antibiotics or NSAIDs)
- Stress or anxiety

What You Can Do at Home
If your dog is still alert, drinking, and symptoms just started:
1. Short Food Break
Withhold food for 12–24 hours (not for frail dogs — ask a vet first!)
2. Hydration
Encourage water! You can offer diluted, unflavored electrolyte solution
3. Fix the digestive issue
Give a fast-active anti-diarrhoea treatment, preferrably liquid like GastroBalance
4. Bland Diet
After fasting:
- Boiled chicken (no skin) + white rice
- Small, frequent meals
